Fees $16 per night, $20 per night for electric service. WebApr 4, 2024 · Sibley Lake was constructed by Camp 853 of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during 1937. The lake was named for Lt. Sibley, leader of a cavalry scouting party which was attacked on July 7, 1876 by Sioux and Cheyenne Indians. Lt. Sibley and his troop of 26 men and a news reporter survived and returned to their main camp.
