We visited today and were very disappointed as the estate seemed tired and neglected .The mansion didn't seem ready for visitors as some rooms were filled with wooden boxes filled with Artifacts,also part of the house was closed off to visitors .The worst part of the visit was the Tea room ,we ordered … WebShugborough was originally built in 1693 and has been altered by generations of the Anson family and became a 900-acre estate on the edge of Cannock Chase.
