Dvd player tray won't open
WebJun 15, 2008 · Pressing eject has no effect except for the display showing 'OPEN' for 5 secs followed by 'CLOSE'. This machine has never got on well with non Pana DVD-RAM discs and it's a non pana one that's in there now. I've disconnected it from power and on powering back up it displays 'RECOVER'. WebMay 7, 2012 · If it still doesn't open at that point, then the tray mechanism is likely damaged. In that case, it would likely cost more to repair the player than it would to replace it. So you may as well go ahead and force the drawer open (use a butter knife or flat bladed screwdriver) so you can at least retrieve the disc to return to netflix.
