In fact, your baby can hear — and respond to — a wide range of sounds, from those your body makes to sounds outside your womb. WebBabies are born with the ability to hear, but their hearing is not fully developed. In fact, research shows that babies can hear sounds as early as 20 weeks into the pregnancy while still in the womb. However, at this stage, the fetus can only detect low-frequency sounds, and the hearing process is still in the developmental stages.
