The forest boasts spectacular scenery and 557 miles of hiking and equestrian trails. Recreation The Table Mountain Nature Trail runs through the campground, and visitors can spot birds, squirrel, deer and the California condor. WebThe fourteen campsites are first-come first-serve (no reservations) for no fee (free of charge). The trail camp is open year round. An old fireplace and wall at Hoegees Camp Hoegees Camp is located at an elevation of approximately 2,500 feet. Chantry Flats is at 2,150 feet, but the hike dips to 1,800 feet at Roberts Camp in between.
